Go sans Giannis and Middleton for the Bucks, they beat the jazz before the big night

The Jazz were competitive, but in the end the Bucks clinched an easy win at the Fiserv Forum (123-97) to forget about the Grizzlies’ crush in Memphis. With a full roster, the Elafias are hoping to take on the Pelicans early Tuesday.

Chris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo stayed out of the game to rest their legs, but the Bucks were serious, consistent and determined in the early hours of Sunday (12/18). They beat the Jazz 123-97 at the Fiserv Forum and rebounded from a tough away loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, with Mike Budenholzer hoping to have a full roster ready for Tuesday morning’s game against New Orleans. And when we say full roster, we mean Joe Ingles, who is set to make his debut this season, is also expected to be available.

The Bucks rose to 21-8 (14-3 home and 7-5 a) with Bobby Portis recording an impressive double-double (22 points, 14 rebounds), Brook Lopez all-in at 18/8 and three blocks first three minutes but also with Jrue Holiday returning from an illness that was bothering him to fill in his stats as well. Second good performance in a row by rookie Marjon Botchamp, creatively great Sandro Mamukelasvili.

The Jazz fell to 17-15 (11-5 home and 6-10 away) with Lauri Markkanen having a balmy night and Malik Beasley the only consistent perimeter threat. The Salt Lake City team had a good image for much of the game, but they collapsed at the end and the result is unfair to them.


50-38 points on racquet, 9-2 points on surprise, 49-50 points from substitutes, 22-9 points from opponent errors, 21-14 points from second chances (offensive rebounds).

The race

With Brook Lopez having three blocks in the first three minutes of the game(!) and Portis having 10 points in the first five minutes, the Bucks started the game great (12-8). The Milwaukee team finished the period 27-22 thanks to 15 from Bobby, with the Jazz remaining very competitive and staying close but one from Botchamp and one from Holiday falling within three possessions. 52-42 in the 20th minute was the result of a 10-0 run by the home side, 56-47 at half-time was not encouraging, but double rebounds (35-18) covered the visitors’ ten three-pointers.

The picture of the game did not change at the beginning of the second half. Beasley, Markkanen and Olynyk kept the Jazz close, but Olynyk left the team midway through the third third with an injury. The Bucks were in control, Lopez did a great job scoring from near and far, he had 18 points and eight rebounds by the end of the third quarter, and although Markkanen and Beasley had as many, the Jazz didn’t shine in being able to steal the win.

Grayson Allen hit his first 3-pointer to make it 100-83 with 9:42 in the final, and things got out of hand from that point. Mamoukelashvili did it all, Botchamp scored in bursts, AJ Green followed with outside shots, Thanasis stepped in and had the apotheosis and in the end everyone left the Fiserv Forum happy. Except for the Jazz, who wanted to claim a little more but looking at the bottom line, they probably won’t be too comfortable with what they achieved in Milwaukee.

Denver announces Jokic’s recovery from knee injury

Denver Nuggets announced Nikola Jokic He will miss at least four weeks due to a left knee injury.

Star center was diagnosed with left knee hyperextension. At the same time, tests confirmed that the three-time NBA MVP’s knee ligaments remained intact.

San Antonio hosted Cleveland and suffered a sensational defeat.

Three-quarters of the meeting was fought evenly, with the teams responding to each other’s pushes with their own pushes and often staying within a shot or two of each other. That changed in the fourth quarter, as the Cavaliers went on a 15-2 run to take a 10-point lead, 94-84. They then maintained their advantage and won with a score of 113:101.

Cleveland’s main hero in this game was Allen, who had a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Garland can achieve the same success with 15 points and 11 assists.

Toronto beat Orlando at home.

Magic started the match better and made a 14:2 move at the start.
