Except for 6-8 weeks Chris Paul due to injury
Bad news for the Suns as Chris Paul will eventually be out for 6-8 weeks due to a right thumb injury.
The Suns’ concerns about Chris Paul’s injury proved – sadly – to be justified. As it became known, the star of the team finally suffered a fracture in his right thumb and will be out for 6-8 weeks.
Paul was hurt in the game against the Rockets (Win by 124-121), when received a punch from Jason Tate and was then sent off for falling on a referee. With his absence, the role of Cameron Payne and Elfriede Peyton is expected to be upgraded.
This season, Paul has averaged 14.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 1.9 steals in 33 minutes after playing in all of the Suns’ 58 games before the break for All Star Weekend.
