Scenes of chaos in Detroit, between the Pistons and Magic players, with a briefly breath-taking fight reminiscent of the legendary Malice at the Palace. Mo Wagner fell unconscious on the bench after being punched by Killian Hayes.

Destruction in Detroit and a really bad brawl late in the second half in the Pistons-Magic game. So sweeping and so wild that at first everyone thought we were seeing scenes from the night the Pistons and Pacers shocked the NBA two decades ago.

Mo Wagner and Cillian Hayes claimed possession, with the German unsportsmanlike putting the French on the home bench and Chaos followed. Hayes got up angrily and beat Wagner, with 10-15 players and coaches standing in the way to avoid the worst. The moments were very intense as the referees paused the game for a while to watch the video and hand out penalties.

Both Mo Wagner (second degree unsportsmanlike conduct) and Killian Hayes were suspended, along with the Pistons’ Hamidou Diallo. Even more shockingly, Wagner landed unconscious on the Pistons bench after Haye’s punch and stayed there for a few seconds before getting up, visibly dazed, to go to his own team’s bench.
