The NBA announced the suspension of 11 players for striking during the Magic game against the Pistons, with starters Killian Hayes and Mo Wagner receiving the heaviest penalties.

When the Magic and Pistons players… became a tangle and traded nudges – culminating in Killian Hayes smacking Mo Wagner in the back of the head – it was a given that the punishment was coming. This is exactly what happened when the NBA announced that they had fined a total of 11 (!) players for what happened, 2 from the Pistons and 9 from the Magic.

The league said Hayes was suspended for three games by the Pistons – who dealt a blow to Wagner – while Wagner – who started it all by knocking the Frenchman off the floor – was suspended for two games.

Meanwhile, the Pistons’ Hamidou Diallo – who shoved Wagner after the German fouled Hayes – was given a one-game ban, a penalty that was also given to eight Magic players for going off the team’s bench and onto the bench received from Detroit, which is prohibited. These are Franz Wagner, Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter, Mo Baba, RJ Hampton, Gary Harris, Kevon Harris and Admiral Schofield.

However, in order for Orlando to have the minimum number of players (eight) to normally compete in its games, the league announced that of the 8 Magic players penalized with a one-game suspension, five will serve their sentences against the Wizards (Anthony, Bubba, Carter, Hampton, Gary Harris) and the other three against the thunder (Kevon Harris, Schofield and Wagner).

Think about the battle between the players of the two teams:
