Second bedroom

32-40, 8:24 – Interesting start for the Lakers in this second quarter, with more efficient defense and easier open court offense while Dallas is without Doncic who is resting. Partial 8-4 by the locals leading to Kidd calling a timeout.

First quarter

22-36 – The Lakers closed the gap a bit at the end of the first quarter thanks to the work of their second unit, with 8 points from Russell Westbrook and 6 from Troy Brown Jr.

15-32, 2:22 – It was Dallas that stopped the game with a timeout, even though its team was on fire after four straight possessions. This first quarter couldn’t have been better for the Texans, with points from six different players and going 12-19 from the field.

10-24, 3:42 – The Lakers are still down, but Darwin Hamm still hasn’t elected to call another timeout, beyond his team’s 0-6 three-and-out losses. The home team’s offensive execution has been terrible in this first quarter. The Dallas party is already 11-0.
