Donovan Mitchell hugs his staunchest fan
Donovan Mitchell returned to Utah and there was waiting for little Josh, the fan who had welcomed him to the Vivint Smart Home Arena for five years.
Donovan Mitchell returned to Utah as an opponent for the first time since the Jazz traded him to Cleveland, and there he got a very pleasant surprise. That’s because of little Josh, Mitchell’s staunchest fan, who’s been outside of the Vivint Smart Home Arena as he’s been to every Mormon home game in the five years (2017-22) that the 26-year-old shooting guard played there.
Their exchange was particularly tender as Mitchell lost himself in his arms and he shared the beautiful moment on social media, saying: “Josh has been waiting for me on the field at every game for the past 5 years. First time I’ve seen him since I got traded. It’s moments like these that last forever! I missed you, Josh!”.
