Such is the life of the triple king, who calmly scored a 15 meter shot in his last appearance, against the Boston Celtics. In the same arena where he tormented Celtics fans with an iconic performance in Game 4 of the Finals in mid-2022, Curry continued to celebrate like he owned the place.

With this shot, Curry already has at least six shots from 45 feet (13.7 meters) or more in his NBA career. The league began tracking shot distance in the 1996-1997 season and since then no one has scored more shots so Curry. According to Stathead, Curry’s six shots tied him with Jamal Crawford for the all-time leader.
If you watch Warriors games, you’re used to seeing Curry make desperate last-second shots.
In an era where most players don’t even try to make them or throw them on purpose after the buzzer for fear of hurting their prized 3-point shooting percentages, Curry isn’t worried about that. Only Andre Miller has attempted more in history, and only two active players have half as many shots from half court.

Stephen Curry’s best mid-range shots
1. May 15, 2015, vs. Memphis Grizzlies
The only one from a playoff game, Curry hit a 60-foot jumper late in the third quarter of a close Game 6. That shot propelled Golden State to the streak and ultimately the first of Curry’s four championships.
2. January 19, 2023, vs. Boston Celtics
Captive of the moment? It can. But the latest project stands out not only for its execution, but also for the heist that preceded it. Incredible action.

3. January 22, 2016, vs. Indiana Pacers
That’s absurd because it came after Curry hit a 70-foot shot that didn’t count since it came after the first quarter buzzer. As part of a 39-point triple-double in a game televised across the United States, Curry hit his 200th 3-pointer of the season with a knife down the middle late in the first half.
4. March 18, 2019, vs. San Antonio Spurs
Back on a national television stage for the United States, Curry hit a 60-footer late in the first quarter. It’s the second-longest shot of his career, behind the aforementioned shot against Memphis.
5. January 28, 2017, vs. LA Clippers
Being calm enough to avoid an opponent before taking a 15m shot increases the degree of difficulty. The only disappointment here is that Mike Breen didn’t say his patented ‘BANG’.
6. March 9, 2016, vs. Utah Jazz
One of the six pitches had to come in last. Let’s just say a 55-footer at the second-quarter buzzer isn’t all that impressive.
The point of it all? Steph Curry can’t be real.
