Incredibly unlucky LaMelo Ball, twisted the same ankle for the 3rd time this year
LaMelo Ball was unlucky again after injuring his left ankle in the game against the Rockets for the third time this season when teammate PJ Washington fell on his leg and left the game.
LaMelo Ball just can’t stay healthy this year. Worse still, he keeps injuring the same part of his body, his left ankle, in a combination of incredible bad luck and vulnerability.
The Hornets star injured his ankle in the game against the Rockets for the third time this year and left with support. This time, his injury stemmed from another mishap after teammate PJ Washington landed on his leg while trying to stop Jabari Smith in a third-quarter game.
Ball initially missed the first 13 games of the season after twisting his ankle in a Hornets friendly. Coming back, he was injured again in just his 3rd game when he twisted his ankle while stepping on the foot of a fan sitting in the courts against the Pacers and missed another 11 games. Now he was injured when a team-mate landed on his foot in an unfortunate recital. However, he said after the game that he would not do an MRI on his leg as he believed nothing serious was going on.

This season, Ball is averaging 23.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 1.1 steals with 37% three-point shooting in 34 minutes of attendance.
