Leader Russell leads Wolves to an 18-point win over Raptors
Terrible stuff from the Wolves sans Towns and Gober, with D’Angelo Russell catching fire in the 4th quarter to lead his team to a 128-126 win over the Raptors as Minnesota came back from -18.
Wolves are doing terrifyingly well without Rudy Gober and Karl-Anthony Towns. Both for the NBA and for… themselves, with the Raptors realizing that and watching as Minnesota came back from -18 (and -14 in the fourth quarter) and won 128-126. Toronto had a shot at the win, but Oji Anunoby’s three-pointer in the final missed the target.
DeAngelo Russell’s 25 points – 16 of them in the 4th quarter – led the way for winners, with Anthony Edwards adding 23 points (but on 5/16 shooting) and Kyle Anderson adding 20 points and 10 rebounds.
With the Raptors, Scotty Barnes had 29 points, Fred VanVleet had 25 points and 10 assists, and Gary Trent had 18 points (but 6/15 shooting).
