CHARLOTTE, NC – Fred VanVleet is in doubt over the Toronto Raptors’ Friday game in Charlotte against the Hornets.

He has a sore throat in his right knee – the same reason he did not play on February 16 in Minnesota, the last game before the Stars break.

At All-Star Weekend, VanVleet competed in the three-point shootout and the game itself.

He collected six points during the annual classic, where he found himself for the first time in his career.

VanVleet leads the NBA in minutes per game with 38.4. (Four Raptors players are in the top 12 in the league in this regard).

The point guard leads the Raptors with seven assists per game.

In terms of points, he and Pascal Shiakam are more or less in the neck: the Cameroonian gave 21.9, VanVleet 21.6. The latter will celebrate his 28th birthday on Friday.

The Hornets (29-31) will try to stop a series of three defeats.

The Raptors (32-25) will also visit the Hawks on Saturday and the Nets on Monday.

On Tuesday, they will have to find a full house at the Scotiabank Arena, across from Brooklyn.
