The 2022-2023 season once again has Los Angeles Lakers away from the big battle in the Western Conference and the franchise seems to have the must move if he plans to, at least, make it to the postseason.

When is the NBA transfer deadline? The deadline for the 2022-2023 season

The transfer deadline for the 2022-2023 NBA season has been set for Thursday, February 9, 2023. League teams will have up to 3:00 p.m. eastern United States (2:00 p.m. in CDMX, 5:00 p.m. in Argentina and 9:00 p.m. in Spain) to make exchanges.

Negotiations with the San Antonio Spurs

According to the Spurs Talk site, the Lakers and Texans are still discussing a possible trade, in which the Angels could add Jakob Poeltl, Josh Richardson and/or Doug McDermott. Although of course, in return they would have to part with a Russell Westbrook who seems to have found a place on the team as the sixth man.

Hachimura has arrived

The Lakers’ first move in the market was through a deal with the Wizards, in which they sent Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks in exchange for Japanese Rui Hachimura. A boost for Darvin Ham’s second unit.
