Giannis Antetokounmpo will again be captain of the NBA All Star Game 2023

Kevin Durant was the one who stood out from the East – in the first two counts – but by the end of the vote Giannis Antetokounmpo emerged as its leader. For the third time in his career, the Greek freak was selected to captain one of two teams in the NBA All Star Game and be LeBron James’ formidable rival.

The news was announced by the NBA in the early hours of January 27, when Giannis Antetokounmpo was “writing” his third appearance as team leader in all of his seven consecutive appearances at the NBA’s grand celebration.

In addition, the East also voted as members of the Starting Five: Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell and Kyrie Irving. While from the West, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Zion Williamson, Steph Curry and Luka Doncic were elected.

The remaining members of the two teams, resulting from the voting of each region’s coaches, will be announced in the early hours of February 3rd – exactly one week away.
