Knicks beat Celtics in Boston, wins for Hornets and Cavaliers
The Knicks were terrible, beating the Celtics 120-117 in overtime in Boston and showing they have a pulse. The Hornets easily beat the Bulls, the Cavaliers beat Houston.
The Knicks entered Boston without fear. It showed when they came back from -15. It was also seen as they watched the Celtics come back from -13 in the fourth quarter and send the game into overtime where the New Yorkers showed their teeth and won 117-120 in Boston.
The Celtics… ended up staring after Jaylen Brown missed two shots at 117-118, and then – at 117-120 – missed two opportunities to send the match into overtime. one with Jayson Tatum (missing) and one with Macklecolm Brogdon who was hit by Jaylen Brunson.
Julius Randle led the Knicks with 37 points, with Brunson adding 29 points and RJ Barrett adding 19 points.
For the Celtics, Tatum had 35 points and 14 rebounds and Brown had 22 points (but 8/22 shooting).

The Cavaliers did the right thing in Houston. Facing a team just waiting for June and Victor Webanyama, the Cavaliers beat the Rockets 95-113 in a game they even led by 32 points.
Darius Garland led with 26 points while Evan Mobley added 21 points (on shooting June 17) and 10 rebounds.
For the Rockets, Terry Eason had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith and Kenyon Martin each had 14 points.
