Toronto Raptors striker OG Anunoby has suffered a fracture in his right index finger, the team announced on Friday. He will not play on Friday night against the Charlotte Hornets and is expected to lose more games due to injury. There is no timetable for his return.

The club did not say when Anunoby was injured, but said he was in pain for some time before the stars’ break.

The 24-year-old has averaged 17.5 points per game this season, as well as 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 42 games this year.

Center Khem Birch is expected to replace Anunoby in the starting line-up, according to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg.

Playmaker Fred VanVleet, with a knee injury, is considered doubtful on Friday.
