Celtics beat Lakers in overtime, LA demands referee
Macara happened in Boston when the Celtics beat the Lakers 125-121 in overtime, despite LeBron James’ 41-pointer. He calls LA to a no-call against LeBron in the regular-season Finals.
The Celtics bounced back from a three-game losing streak to beat the Lakers 125-121 in overtime. LA, on the other hand, has reason to cheer after a no-call in the regulation-time Finals on LeBron James in the visitors’ final attack.
Specifically, LeBron attempted a layup, with Jayson Tatum clearly attempting to lower his left arm, causing “The King” to miss and then yelling at the umpires with no response. After the game, the NBA even acknowledged the referee’s mistake.
Jaylen Brown was the winner’s leader with 37 points (and the basket and foul that sent the game into overtime), with Tatum adding 30 points (but 8/25 shooting) and 10 rebounds and Malcolm Brogdon adding 26 points, in one match with 15 draws and 15 result changes.
For the Lakers, LeBron had 41 points, Anthony Davis had 16 points (but 6/15 shooting) and 10 rebounds, and Patrick Beverley had 15 points.
