Philadelphia 76ers fans were looking forward to seeing James Harden in action with Joel Embiid and were not disappointed.

In his Pennsylvania debut, Harden contributed to the 133-102 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

Having negotiated a deal specifically involving Ben Simmons, Harden played his first game since February 4, as he was plagued by a hind thigh injury. The former Brooklyn Nets stood out with 27 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.

Embiid continued to dominate under the basket with 34 points and 10 rebounds. Tyrese Maxey also made his presence felt with 28 points for Philly.

Carl Anthony Towns failed to keep pace with his opponents with 25 points in his assets. De’Angelo Russell had 21 points in the defeat.
