While awaiting Kevin Durant’s activation, the Suns are working to not leave their bench uncovered.

The Suns don’t just need three superstars to get to the top of the NBA. The supporting cast is a strong requirement alongside Durant, Booker and Paul.

So they will sign him Terence Ross once released by the magic. The 32-year-old warden/forward has already agreed to join Phoenix and is said to be in the process of being released from the Orlando team, according to American sources.

Monty Williams knows he can get defensive greatness and reliable long-range shots from Ross. He was the No. 8 draft pick by the Raptors in 2012, just behind Anthony Davis, Brandy Beal, Damian Lillard, and in his prime (2018-19) he was a 15.1 point player at 38% from perimeter, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 81 regular season games with the Magic.

A classic sixth man who has no problem coming off the bench and delivering things, he needs to be signed by March 1 to qualify for the playoff list. This year he has 8 points on 38% of three, 2 rebounds and 1.3 assists, but Magic has prioritized development over deploying a veteran.
