Zion Williamson relapsed and the Pelicans will miss him for several weeks
Another blow to the Pelicans as Zion Williamson suffered a relapse that will sideline him for several weeks.
Due to a hamstring problem, he was not considered for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City in the early hours of February 20, but Zion Williamson was even more unlucky when the Pelicans announced he had relapsed, which will last him even longer off the pitch.
The New Orleans team sits 7th in the Western Conference 29-28 and is battling for the top 6 that will send them straight to the playoffs, but it’s entirely possible they’ll be fighting for a place in the 7-10 from now on will fight places leading to play-in tournament. The 11th-place Jazz, 12th-place Blazers and 13th-place Lakers have two, two and three wins respectively and the regular season is entering the final stages.
Williamson has 26 points (62% on 2 points, 71% on shots), 7 rebounds, 4.6 assists and a steal per 33 minutes this year.
