New York bosses, the Knicks, beat the Nets after 3 years
The Knicks beat the Nets for the first time since the 2019-20 season, ending Brooklyn’s 9-game winning streak against them.
After the departure of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving from Brooklyn, the balance changed in New York and the Knicks not only managed to get their first win over the Nets in three years and 9 straight losses, but they did it with relative ease and won 124 -106.
Jalen Brunson was the big star among winners, scoring his third 40 of the season, while Josh Hart, a former Brunson teammate at Villanova who recently transferred from Portland, posted a season-high 27 points.
On the losing side, Spencer Dinwiddie stood out with 28 points (3/10 trebles) while Michael Bridges could not help offensively, scoring just 7 points with 2/8 shooting. Ben Simmons fought for just 12’41”.
