Bucks – Hornets 130-106: Antitokunbo and Milwaukee fought forever
Losing to the Nets hurt them and two nights later the Bucks defeated the Hornets 130-106, losing twice in three nights in January. Undefeated is Giannis Antetokounbo who scored 14/14 shots and filled his stats.
The angry bucks are the best bucks and the angry giannis antitokoumbo is the best giannis antitokoumbo. The Milwaukee and Greek Freak team proved it in the early hours of Tuesday (3/1) when they defeated the Hornets, who lost twice in Charlotte on January 8th and 10th last year, 130-106. They wanted a rematch and got it comfortably, with pluralism and with their leader filling in his stats for another night of no blackmail efforts en route to third MVP.
Antetokunbo stayed down 28:09, scored 26 points (6/8 two points, 14/14 shots), amassed 16 rebounds, shared six assists, stole two balls and clipped four shots, showing he was in impressive shape , chewed the gum in the second half, he enjoyed the challenge, he wanted to beat this opponent forcefully and he did. At 37-25, the Bucks (21-12 home and 16-13 a) who got a double-double from Bobby Portis (20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 3-pointers) saw an overall offer from Holliday-Middleton Areas (40 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists) and Thanasis to combine spectacle and substance in the final 11 minutes of the game.
At 30-33 the Hornets (15-15 home and 15-18 away) who had no other absence apart from Gordon Hayward. Their image was poor for most of the game, their inefficiency at two-pointers mentally crushed them, Miles Bridges was negative, LaMelo Ball scored a lot but without helping those around him, it was generally a night in The Charlotte’s team saw that just as she will struggle in the play-in tournament to get to the playoffs, she will try to forget before she even gets on the plane to continue her year.
The Bucks’ next opponent is the champion of the Miami Heat’s Eastern District, in Milwaukee, in the early hours of Thursday (3:00 a.m.).
The race
Bowl and Bridges scored 14 of the Hornets’ first 15 points, who entered the game well, capitalizing on the Bucks’ failure from the periphery and taking the lead. But not for long. John, angered by a foul not given to him by the refs, clipped two shots and through defense Milwaukee went ahead with three (19-16), Charlotte responded and finished the first third with perfect balance (32-32) with Lamelo Bowl as the absolute protagonist (13 points, 5/6 shots) and Holliday – Middleton with 14 points but from 5/16 tries.
Holiday and Allen opened the second twelve minutes with three points for 38-32 in 43 seconds, Carter and Bebry provided goal solutions, John reached 9 points with a peat foul and 48-37 in 16′ began to give the hosts the good psychology They needed. Holiday and Middleton were 55-39 midway through the season and 76-53 at halftime was fair as Budenholzer saw his five key players have 11–15 points, with Antetokunbo standing out with a full stat line (15 points). 5/7 two points, 5/5 shots, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks) and his opponents 11/30 two points.
The Bucks had laid the foundation early, Middleton kept them at a great distance for three minutes in the second half with a three-pointer to make it 87:61, Portis could not be stopped with his peripheral shots, Antetokunbo scored a goal foul to make it 96:64 and the die Night at the Fiserv Forum was fantastic for the Bucks friends. The 108-76 of the third period gave the Hornets no hope, sending Serge Ibaka off with six fouls gave Thanasis an opportunity to hit the ground early in the fourth, Giannis immediately gave him an assist to make it 113-81 and then the benches emptied as the match lost interest.
