Milwaukee Bucks: Mike Budenholzer explains why he wasn’t fouled on the Boston Celtics’ last possession
Sam Houser made a very difficult shot three minutes from time and sent the Boston Celtics’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks into overtime. But why was there no foul? Mike Budenholzer provided the answer.
The Milwaukee Bucks needed the extra five minutes of overtime to beat the Boston Celtics at home in the big East Derby early Wednesday, February 15. Giannis Antetokounmpo’s side were close to victory in regulation time, but Sam Hauser’s big three-pointer with three minutes left sent the game into overtime and kept everyone in the Fiserv Forum in suspense.
But why didn’t the “Hirsch” foul at +3 to have peace? Mile Budenholzer was asked about Milwaukee’s last defense and explained his reasoning but also that the order for everyone is to play a clean defense.
“We do different things at the end of the games. Catching and shooting for a screen is probably what they’re looking for. We defended well against everyone, we defended on all screens before that shot. He caught the ball in the middle of the field and fired a shot from nine yards away, or from where he’d fired anyway. There are different things we will do. Sam Hauser should be congratulated on his shot. Chris (Middleton) did exactly what we asked him to do. We’re lucky that we found a way to win in overtime‘ said the Milwaukee Bucks coach.
Alright at last, all’s well anyway, with the company of Giannis Antetokounmpo achieving eleven (11) straight wins in the NBA.
