After three non-starring seasons in college basketball, Murphy was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans (with the Memphis Grizzlies selected) in the 17th place in the 2021 Draft.
In his first season he was a regular backup who averaged 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game, with a little more in the Playoffs: he averaged 20 minutes per game in his team’s first-round series loss to the Phoenix Suns.

This season, Murphy gained ground in New Orleans and started inside 45 out of 55 games who played so far: avg 13.1 points, 3.7 rebounds1.3 assists and a steal in 29.5 minutes per game.
Murphy stands out more and more as a shooter, with a 40.3% accuracy on triples in 5.6 attempts per game. He made almost as many three-pointers (124) as two-pointers (125).

When and where is NBA All-Star 2023?
NBA All-Star 2023 will be held in Salt Lake City, home of the Utah Jazz. The weekend of the stars will start the Friday 17th and will end on Sunday 19th February.
The stadium where the 2023 All-Star Game will be held will be the capacity Vivint Arena 18,300 people.
