The Toronto Raptors fans did not warmly welcome Goran Dragic and the Canadian team faced the Brooklyn Nets, winning 109-108 on Tuesday.

Dragic had secured the trade that sent Kyle Lowry to the Miami Heat. The 35-year-old point guard, however, played just five games with the Raptors. He then stayed away from the team for personal reasons. Eventually, the organization decided to exchange him for the San Antonio Spurs who bought his contract. He then joined the Nets.

Back at the Scotiabank Arena, Dragic heard the crowd roar as he entered the game and touched the ball. He finished the night with 10 points in 15 minutes of play. The Nets were still without the services of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and their latest acquisition Ben Simmons. However, they offered a hot fight to the Raptors who had beaten them 133-97 on Monday.

The Raptors’ defense went up in the fourth quarter, allowing only 19 points to their opponents. A series of nine consecutive points, including a great goal by Scottie Barnes, put the Torotonians in the lead for good. Barnes finished the night with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Without Fred VanVlit, the Raptors bet on Gary Trent Jr. who had 24 points. Pascal Shiakam scored 18 points and eight rebounds.
