Giannis Antetokounmpo: “I want to be champion, I don’t care about the MVP award”

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s dream of becoming a coach is still a long way off. Right now his priority is the ongoing NBA season and what he can make of it.

In the short term, he wants Team Giannis to win the All Star Game and in the long term, bring the Milwaukee Bucks back to the top regardless of whether he wins his third regular season MVP award.

At the All Star Game press conference, the Greek freak spoke bluntly and clearly.

On the one hand”I don’t care about the MVP award. I want to be a champion, I want my team to be great. I want to focus on things I can control because that’s something I can’t control and I’m not worried about“.

on the other”I want to pick guys who can play hard but also get a lot of hoops for us and of course I want to play with Drew (Holliday), be on the same team and share the experience. If I have the chance to vote for him, it goes without saying that I will vote for him“.
