Spolstra angers referee: ‘I’m shocked Jimmy Butler wasn’t fouled’
Eric Spolstra had many complaints about the refereeing in the game with the Milwaukee Bucks, particularly regarding Giannis Antitokunbo’s phase with Jimmy Butler in the finals.
The Milwaukee Bucks turned a game that seemed lost and celebrated the victory over the Miami Heat, with Jru Holliday finishing the night’s biggest basket at 1.9”. However, this was preceded by Giannis Antitokoumbo’s superb defense against Jimmy Butler and the claimed ball that ended in the Greek freak’s Yambol won.
Eric Spolstra spoke about this phase very irritated after the final in the Fiserv Forum. The Miami Heat coach tried to hold on, avoiding the harsh words but – again – not hiding his anger and anger at the referee.
“I won’t start yelling for the referee. i’m just shocked I’m shocked that Jimmy (Butler) wasn’t fouled when we were trying to get the ball on the ground. We definitely had some other chances to ‘close’ the game, especially when we were 4 points ahead. But that’s how it’s done. I can’t imagine that wasn’t a foul“Eric Spolstra characteristically said in part of his statements.
