Donovan Mitchell currently sits atop the scoring list after scoring 71 points in the Cavaliers’ first game of 2023. The shooting guard became the seventh player in league history to break into the 70s for points and led the Cleveland to win.

His 71-point outbursts Donovan Mitchell and Damian Lillard put them ahead of Luka Doncic, who posted a 60-point triple-double on Dec. 27. The Mavericks star has already scored 50 or more points in three games this season.
Joel Embiid and Devin Booker are the others who reached the 50 mark multiple times during the campaign.
