Thompson injured Wolves by 32 points
With Klay Thompson stopping at 32 points, the Warriors managed to earn a narrow 109-104 win over Wolves and move up to 7th place in the West, where they continued to fight for a playoff spot.
Klay Thompson has stepped up in the absence of Steph Curry. He did the same against Wolves, leading the Warriors to an important 109-104 win over a team battling for a play-in tournament spot and the playoffs in the West. At 31-30 the record of the (7th West) Warriors, at 31-32 the (9th West) Wolves, with the Jazz (31-31) in between.
Thompson’s 32 points and 6/14 3-pointers helped Golden State pull off two upsets (down from -14 in Q1 and -12 in Q4), with Donte DiVincenzo adding 21 points on a night when the champions took them did. I don’t have – apart from Curry – Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins.
For Wolves, who were without Gober and Towns, Naz Reed had 30 points, with Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels and Kyle Anderson each adding 12 points.
