Dominant Jokic, bent with 40 points and a triple-double for the Clippers in overtime

Nikola Jokic had a double-double party with a 40-point triple-double to lead the Nuggets to a 134-124 win over the struggling Clippers, who were coming back from 18.

Nikola Jokic continues to add MVP-level accomplishments to his resume. The Serbian star led his side to a 134-124 victory in overtime on a night when many things could go wrong for the Nuggets – who gambled away an 18-point lead over the Clippers.


Jokic dominated both racquets, finishing with 40 points on 14/20 2-points and 12/15 shooting, 17 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and just 1 foul in 42 minutes of action in another legendary performance en route to a third in Follow Regular Season MVP Awards.

Michael Porter with 29 points and 11 rebounds and Jamal Murray with 21 points (but 8/22 shooting) and 12 assists trailed the Serb big in performance, with the Nuggets remaining at the top of the West with a 43-19 record.

For the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard had 33 points, Paul George 23 points and Russell Westbrook 17 points, the latter not playing in overtime.
