TORONTO – Jeremy Grant had 26 points as the Detroit Pistons beat the Toronto Raptors 108-106 on Thursday.

Saddiq Bey had 23 points, one more than Cade Cunningham in the No. 1 draft of 2021. Cunningham added 12 rebounds for the Pistons, who have won four of their last six games. He also had four three-pointers to beat the game. Ontario Corey Joseph led his team with six assists, including a steal and a block.

The Raptors did not hide their frustration with the work of the referees, and even this coach Nick Nurs was sent off in the third quarter.
Pistons coach Dwayne Casey had a smile on his face as he watched Ners leave the pitch.

Casey drove Toronto until 2017-18 before being fired. Since then, he has 9-3 against the Raptors, including six consecutive wins.

Pascal Shiakam led the Raptors with 28 points. Scottie Barnes gave 21, Precious Achiuwa 18 and Gary Trent 14.

Shiakam approached Toronto at 106-104 with one shot, with 56 seconds on the clock. In the 37th minute of the end, Achiuwa had a chance to equalize the score, but managed only one free kick. Bey followed with a basket and then the guests stayed on the course.

Fred VanVleet has been ruled out of action for the third time in a row with a broken right knee.

The Raptors were also without OG Anunoby’s services and will stay for another two weeks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. ESPN.

The Raptors player suffered a fracture in his right arm and his condition will be assessed in just over two weeks.

The 24-year-old has averaged 17.5 per game this season, which is a personal high. The Raptors are scheduled to face the Detroit Pistons tonight.

The Raptors also played without Thad Young (illness without COVID-19). The reserve has scored 10, 11 and 11 points in his last three games.

Nick Nurse’s group is seventh in the East, two games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers in sixth place. The Raptors will play again on Friday night at home against the Orlando Magic.

KD is doing well on his return, but is still bowing

The return of Kevin Durand did not stop the Brooklyn Nets from slipping, losing 113-107 to the Miami Heat.

Durand scored 31 points in his first game since January 15, after losing 21 games.

KD inspired the Nets by taking a 16-point lead, but the Heat ended up tightening their defense in the second half to regain control. He missed a three-point shot that would give his team the lead 57 seconds from the end of the match.

Bam Adebayo had 30 points in the victory, along with 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Tyler Herro added 27 points for the top Easterners, who rebounded from the defeat by Milwaukee last night.

The Nets are left without two other important players, Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons.
