George and Leonard clean up Grizzlies, upset victory over Clippers
Paul George and Kawhi Leonard totaled 76 points as the Clippers defeated the Grizzlies 135-129, without three starters and their sixth man, and came back from -15 in the fourth quarter to endure a five-game losing streak
The Clippers can be optimistic again. LA saw it all against the – minus Morad, Brooks, Adams, Clark – Grizzlies but eventually managed to claim the win 135-129 after coming back from -15 in the 4th quarter. He broke a 5-loss streak and marked his first win since Russell Wesbrook joined the team.
Paul George was the winners’ leader with 42 points and 11 rebounds, with Kawhi Leonard adding 34 points and Eric Gordon adding 17 points as the Clippers made 35 shots on 15 for the Grizzlies.
For Memphis, Desmond Bain had 30 points, Tyus Jones had 25 points and 12 assists, and Jaren Jackson had 24 points.
