Vivek Ranadiv: Sacramento Kings owner wants Chelsea
Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadiv is listed as a key buyer for Chelsea.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine had a direct impact on world sport, with Roman Abramovich making the decision to put Chelsea under the hammer. The billionaire disclosed the incident in a written statement, giving Musin Bayrak the opportunity to register as the first prospective buyer of a majority stake in the English club.
However, according to an American publication, he is not the only one. Simply because Vivek Ranadiv has finally shown a strong interest in getting involved in football, especially Chelsea.
He’s the owner of the Sacramento Kings, the man who bought the “Kings” for $534 million in 2013 — now the organization’s value is estimated to be four times as high.
Sportico even points out that “Vivek Ranadiv is putting the finishing touches on the proposal he will submit for the English club, say those close to him, who declined to be named due to the specificity of the issue“.
The 64-year-old Indian businessman’s net worth is estimated at $750 million, well below the roughly £4 billion Roman Abramovich has as a selling price.
