Kyrie Irving did his best game of the season with 50 points in just 19 shots and led the Brooklyn Nets to a 132-121 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday.

His staff senior this year was 38 points. It is his first game with 50+ points since he scored 54 against the Bulls in Chicago on January 31, 2020.

He was impressively effective from all over the field, finishing the game with 15-for-19 from the perimeter, 9-for-12 from the center and 11-for-13 from the free-kick line. He added six assists and three rebounds.

Kevin Durand, who was playing his third game in a row after a month and a half of absence with a left knee injury. He left the ball in Irving’s hands and was content with a performance of 14 points and seven assists.

Andre Drummond had 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Nets and Bruce Brown had 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

The Nets end a four-game losing streak and return to a draw with the Hornets for eighth place in the East. Both teams have identical records 33-33.

Terry Rozier and Miles Bridges each had 30 points each in defeat. Rosier also had eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. LaMelo Ball had 24 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
