Boston sweeps Milwaukee with epic performance and uncompromising basketball, defeat for Top of East

Doom for first place in the East and first place overall in the NBA after the spectacular performance of the Boston Celtics in beating and coming close to the Bucks in Milwaukee (140-99) five games before the regular-season finals.

It was a good test for them, but not the game of the season. The Milwaukee side appeared unprepared for their opponents’ physical play, exhausted from the effort put in at Indianapolis 24 hours earlier, and seeing their key players on a bad night. Not so much Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was also struggling against the Celtics wall, and Jrue Holiday, who dropped to six from 51 points with the Pacers, but also Khris Middleton, who might have fresh legs but still needs time to find his feet of.

The race

With a lot of contact and hard coverage early on, the Celtics not only made life difficult for the Bucks but also had Jaylen Brown in an incredible situation. He pulled his starters, saw Mazoula hold his own until the end of the twelve minutes (74-114) and the fourth was purely procedural in nature as the two coaches emptied their benches.

If the skirmish between Griffin and Thanasis took place in the final, when the former committed an unnecessarily unsportsmanlike act towards the latter and tripped him, resulting in his dismissal, the stadium would have been emptied much sooner.

Denver announces Jokic’s recovery from knee injury

Denver Nuggets announced Nikola Jokic He will miss at least four weeks due to a left knee injury.
