PHOENIX – Facing the best club in the NBA, the Toronto Raptors played a terrific game and beat the Phoenix Suns 117-112 on Friday.
Gary Trent was shocking with 42 points to help the Raptors beat the Western champions, who are 28-8 at home.
Trent went eight to 11 on three-pointers. He also won eight rebounds with a high number of visitors, a draw with Fred VanVleet. Trent posted a ninth game with 30 or more points this season.
Asked if there was a time in the game if he felt he would be very productive, Trent said no.
