The Suns were forced against the Nuggets’ second, a terrible upset between the Grizzlies and the Clippers

The Suns blew a 27-point deficit against the second-placed Nuggets but eventually clinched a 100-93 win and moved up to 4th in the West. Grizzlies comeback from -20 vs. Clippers, Big Nets win over Hawks.

The Suns … saw it all against the — minus Jokic, Murray, Porter — Nuggets after blowing a 27-point deficit in the second half. Still, they eventually found a way to win 100-93 and take 4th place in the west with a 42-35 record.

Kevin Durant’s 30 points led the way for the winners, with Devin Booker adding 27 points and Josh Okogie adding 14 points (and the 3-pointers that sealed the win).

In the Nuggets, Aaron Gordon had 26 points and Bruce Brown had 16 points.

Grizzly Bears – Clippers 108-94

The Grizzlies were down 14:34 just before the end of the first period. At the beginning of the second period the score was 40:38. At the end of the first part 55-51 in their favor. Things took off from there, with Memphis even going as high as +22 and eventually taking the win with 108-94 and getting even closer to second place in the West.

Desmond Bain’s 22 points led the way for the winners, with Luke Kennard adding 17 points and Xavier Tillman adding 14 points.

For the Clippers, Norman Powell had 16 points and Ivica Zubac had 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Kawhi Leonard was limited to 12 points in just 18 minutes.

Nets – Hawks 124-107

Michael Bridges caught fire and the rest was… Brooklyn history as the Nets drove to a 124-107 win over the Hawks, taking another big step in their bid to secure 6th place East and right in to lead the playoffs.

Bridges was no match, finishing with 42 points, with Dorian Feeney-Smith adding 19 points and Cam Johnson adding 16 points.

For the Hawks, Dejude Marie had 21 points and Sadiq Bey had 16 points while Trae Young had 10 points on 3/12 shooting.

THE DODECALPTA: 25-33, 59-55, 101-79, 124-107

Blazers – Kings 114-138

Spray, wipe, done. The Kings weren’t in the mood for trouble in Portland, the Blazers…aren’t particularly interested in winning, and at the end of the game Sacramento won 114-138 and everyone involved was happy.

DeAaron Fox with 20 points and 11 assists led the way for the winners, with Domantas Sabonis adding 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Malik Monk and Keegan Murray also adding 20 points each.

With the Blazers, Shandon Sharpe had 27 points and Drew Eubanks had 18 points and 10 rebounds.

THE DODECALPTA: 27-36, 59-71, 89-104, 114-138

Hornets – Bulls 91-121

The Bulls took another step in their attempt to capture 10th place in the East while also competing in the play-in, dismantling the Hornets 91-121 in Charlotte.

DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine each had 23 points for the winners, with Nikola Vucevic adding 21 points.

For the Hornets, James Booknight had 22 points on 6/11 3-pointers and Svi Mykhailiuk had 16 points.

THE DODECALPTA: 23-31, 46-62, 77-90, 91-121

Pacer – Thunder 121-117

The Pacers turned out to be… losers. Indiana played without Halliburton and Turner and defeated the Thunder 121-117, lowering their opponent’s record to 38-40, giving hope to the 11th West Mavericks (37-40) with Oklahoma City in contention for 10th place to overtake.

TJ McConnell led with 21 points while Andrew Nebhardt added 18 points.

For the Thunder, Cy Gilgeous-Alexander had 39 points and Josh Giddy had 21 points.

THE DODECALPTA: 36-32, 65-61, 90-94, 121-117

Wizards – Magic 109-116

The Magic keep having fun and a good time. They showed that against the Wizards, who defeated them 109-116 in Washington and improved their record to 33-44 compared to the champions’ 34-43.

Paolo Banchero’s 30 points and 12 rebounds led the way for the winners, with Markel Fultz adding 25 points and Franz Wagner adding 20 points in a night that saw Orlando close thanks to a 31-13 run in the fourth quarter.

For the Wizards — who were without Beal, Porzingis and Kuzma — Corey Kispert had 27 points on 9/14 3-point shooting, Delon Wright had 21 points and Daniel Gafford had 18 points and 13 rebounds.

THE DODECALPTA: 32-24, 63-60, 96-85, 109-116

Rockets – Pistons 121-115

In the derby between the teams with the worst records in the NBA, the Rockets showed more motivation to win and, thanks to a partial score of 30-23, prevailed with the Pistons 121-115 in the fourth quarter.

Kevin Porter was the top scorer among the winners with 33 points, Jaylen Green added 32 points, and Alperen Shengun and Kenyon Martin added 15 points each.

For the Pistons, Marvin Bagley had 21 points, Jaden Ivey had 18 points (but 8/20 shooting), and Cory Joseph had 17 points.

Denver announces Jokic’s recovery from knee injury

Denver Nuggets announced Nikola Jokic He will miss at least four weeks due to a left knee injury.

Star center was diagnosed with left knee hyperextension. At the same time, tests confirmed that the three-time NBA MVP’s knee ligaments remained intact.

Jokic was injured in the final seconds of the first half of the 123-147 loss to the Miami Heat and limped heavily on his way to the locker room. He did not return to the site after a long time.

Before his injury, Nikola managed to produce 21 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds in just 19 minutes on the field.

NBA: Miami beat Denver, Cleveland beat San Antonio, Toronto won

11 games were played in the NBA regular season on the night of December 29-30.

Miami hosted Denver and earned a landslide victory.

The home team was ahead by 12 points with 41:29 to play in the first quarter, but the Nuggets were able to slowly win back in the second quarter. The teams entered a long break with the score tied at 63:63. The decisive factor in the match was the third quarter, when the Heat made an 11:0 move and led by 15 points at 84:69. After that the home team completely controlled the course of the game and only increased their advantage, achieving a crushing victory – 147:123.

The most productive player of the match was Powell, who brought 25 points to Miami, while Jaques (20 points + 11 assists) and Adebayo had double-doubles with 13 points + 10 rebounds.

San Antonio hosted Cleveland and suffered a sensational defeat.

Three-quarters of the meeting was fought evenly, with the teams responding to each other’s pushes with their own pushes and often staying within a shot or two of each other. That changed in the fourth quarter, as the Cavaliers went on a 15-2 run to take a 10-point lead, 94-84. They then maintained their advantage and won with a score of 113:101.

Cleveland’s main hero in this game was Allen, who had a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Garland can achieve the same success with 15 points and 11 assists.

Toronto beat Orlando at home.

Magic started the match better and made a 14:2 move at the start. Afterwards, they took control of the course of the game and increased the advantage completely to +21 – 51:30 in the second 12 minutes. After that, the home team slowly started to close the gap and entered the long break with a score of 11-11 at 54:65. The third quarter was tied, so Orlando still had a double-digit advantage ahead of the final: 94:84. At the beginning of the match the play followed the same scenario but in the middle Toronto made a move with 15:0 and not only won it back but also took the lead with 105:102. The fate of the game was decided by Barnes’ free throws, which set the score at 107:106 with 1 minute and 27 seconds left in the quarter.

Barnes could not make a triple-double this time, but he did a double-double and got 13 points and 11 rebounds, while the most productive name in the victory was Shead with 19 points.
