Schrueder made the big throw for the Lakers, but Davis’ foul on Conley near the deadline kept the German from being the ultimate hero.

Dennis Schroder’s shine was stolen by Anthony Davis in the Lakers’ game against Wolves for the Play-In tournament and he apologized to his teammate on live TV.

The German hit a big 3-pointer to make it 98-55 with just 1.4″ left in the final whistle, but that didn’t turn into a game winner as AD shortly after knocking Mike Conley down and sending him to the charity streak for three shots that he did too, and sent the game into overtime.

For Davis’ sake, the Lakers won in the extra five minutes, so he felt the need to publicly apologize to Schroeder for the joy he had taken from him after LeBron James naturally “emptied” him – between serious and joking – that he had a brain fart, so lost in the closing stages and committed an unnecessary foul.
