Monk and Fox, as we say Drexler and Olajuwon
DeAaron Fox and Malik Monk set two records with their Kings’ Game 1 performances against the Warriors.
De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk scored 38 and 32 points, respectively, to lead the Sacramento Kings’ win over the Warriors in Game 1 of their NBA Playoff Series.
The Kings duo became only the second pair of college teammates to each score over 30 points. Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olazuwon did something similar while playing with the Rockets in 1995.
At the same time, Fox and Monk each had over 30 points on their playoff debuts, tying the record held by the Charlotte Hornets’ Alonzo Mourning and Kendall Gill since 1993.
