The coach of the Ukrainian team Len made his name in NBA history.
Sacramento Head Coach Mike Brown was named 2022/2023 NBA Coach of the Year.
The team’s mentor, whose colors were defended by Ukrainian Oleksiy Len, won the poll with a historic result: he was placed first by all voters, which allowed Brown to win with the highest possible 500 points.
Second place went to Mike Dagnolt of Oklahoma City (164 points, 48 runners-up). Third place went to Joe Mazzull from Boston (77 points, 18 second place).
Mike Brown took over the Kings in the summer of 2022. Beneath him, the club is having one of its best seasons in its history – reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2006 and finishing 3rd in the Western Conference.
Brown received the NBA Coach of the Year award for the second time in his career. This first happened in the 2008/2009 season, when he was coaching Cleveland with LeBron James. But a year later, Mike was fired.
