In the next few weeks, Steve Carey will be fighting for the playoffs
For the start of the playoffs, the Warriors are hoping for Steph Curry, who will be out for weeks after his injury in the game against the Celtics.
The worst-case scenario has been averted, but the Warriors will be without their top player for at least the next three weeks. According to journalist Jordan Schultz, Steph Curry injured his toe while dodging the floor with Marcus Smart preparing for the start of the playoffs. According to Sams Sarania, the ligaments in his left leg were also damaged, so it’s not clear how long it will take for him to recover.
The Warriors are third in the Western Conference, 47-23, behind the Grizzlies (48-22) and the Suns (56-14), who continue their lonely course. Behind them are the Jazz and Mavericks at 43-26 and the Nuggets at 42-28, they’re in no danger of being left straight to the playoffs by the six and they’re hoping Jordan Poole, Clay Thompson, Draymond Green will them wear for the next 12 games before Carrie returns and the San Francisco team head into the postseason.
