Real Madrid want Scariolo but the Raptors are in contention for the Italian coach
According to Yahoo Sports reporter Jake Fisher, Sergio Scariolo is expected to be interviewed for the position of Toronto Raptors head coach.
The domino of developments surrounding EuroLeague coaches is likely to get big this summer. One of the technicians most likely to leave is Sergio Scariolo, who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid lately.
Virtus Bologna’s Italian coach is, of course, allowed to return to the NBA. At least that’s what Yahoo Sports reporter Jake Fisher says in his report, who claims that Scariolo is among the coaches being interviewed for the Toronto Raptors head coaching position, who are looking to replace the Knicks Nurse and aren’t rushing to the next option.
Additionally, Scariolo was on the Raptors’ coaching staff from 2018-2021, winning the 2019 championship with Team Canada before making the decision to return to his home country and take on the comeback-seeking Virtus project in the big living rooms.
