Attentive with Davis, left Game 5 with the Warriors with a head injury
The Lakers are struggling after Anthony Davis left Game 5 early with the Warriors after suffering a blow to the head, and LA is now on a hot coals.
The Lakers loss to the Warriors in Game 5 was the lesser evil for the Lakers. And that’s because after the game, all thoughts turned to the condition of Anthony Davis, who walked off the field about eight minutes from the end of the final and never returned to the game.
The Lakers star suffered a head injury after being elbowed by Kevon Looney, causing him to immediately go onto the bench in a daze and what appeared to be pain. In fact, he was reportedly taken to the stadium’s infirmary for tests in a wheelchair, as he didn’t have the strength to stand.
Davis’ status for Game 6 in Los Angeles is unclear at this time. The Lakers are hoping he avoids an injury or concussion that would keep him out.
