Chris Paul will also miss Game 6 with the Nuggets, Ayton is a question
Chris Paul is out for the Suns’ Game 6 against the Nuggets with a left adductor muscle injury, while Phoenix also says DeAndre Ayton is a question.
The Suns will have to fight without Chris Paul to stay alive in the series with the Nuggets. The veteran guard was ruled out for Game 6 of the series in Phoenix (AND), with Denver leading 3-2, the team announced.
Paul injured his left adductor in the second game of the series and has not played in the series since. There were some hopes that he would be in Game 6, but those were quickly dashed, with the starting role returning to Cameron Payne.
At the same time, however, the Suns still have a big problem as DeAndre Ayton’s participation is considered in doubt due to a rib complaint. If the Jamaican center doesn’t play, the center position must be filled by Jock Landall and Bismack Bigiobo, with all that means for Nikola Jokic’s coverage.
