Wade idolized Antetokounmpo: ‘We need a star like Giannis’

Dwyane Wade, a fan of Giannis Antetokounmpo, explained on camera for Cosmote TV that among other things he explained why the NBA needs players like the “Greek Freak”.

Specifically what he said:

– How did you feel about everything he told you?

“That’s all you want, respect from your peers. And Giannis is someone I admire both as a basketball player and as a person. The way he did it, the way he shows his love and respect to others and at the same time can be extraordinary. He can be as competitive as he needs to be. It felt so good to hear this from a new legend and as you can hear I lost my voice“.

– Do you feel that despite the fact that he has become a superstar, Giannis remains humble like you have remained in your career?

“Yeah I think sometimes in this game you lose a little bit about why you started playing. However, Giannis did not lose it. He plays for his pleasure, for love, and knows what must come first. His family comes first and we need Giannis, we need a star like that. He shows us that there is another way to be a star and for those reasons I’m a huge fan of his“.

– When are you coming to Greece with your wife?

“We were there two years ago but we didn’t tell many people. But we will definitely come back“.
