Milwaukee Bucks are targeting Toronto and Portland as head coaches
The Milwaukee Bucks won’t be in any rush to pick Mike Budenholzer’s replacement, having already spread their nets to the Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers.
The head coaching position at the Milwaukee Bucks is the most coveted in the NBA, with John Horst’s shortlist growing in recent hours.
Kenny Atkinson was the first name to come up as a candidate to replace Mike Budenholzer, but now it proves the competition will be tough. According to ESPN, there are two other names on the list of candidates: that of Scott Brooks and that of Adrian Griffin.
The former works as an assistant to Chauncey Billups at the Portland Trail Blazers, but has 12 years of experience as a head coach in Oklahoma City and Washington. As for the second? This is the Toronto Raptors’ top assistant coach, and is also a candidate for the position that became vacant in the organization after Nick Nurse was fired.
Of course, there’s something that ties him to the Milwaukee Bucks, which is where he began his coaching career as an assistant coach in 2010.
