Trey Young shows Hawks victory in New York with 45 points
Incredibly, Trey Young broke through the Knicks’ defense with 45 points and led the Hawks to a 117-111 win in New York. Bogdanovic is also excellent with 32 points.
Trey Young loves being hated at Madison Square Garden… something that came off of last year’s playoffs when he led the Hawks to qualify in the first round against the Knicks. On his return to New York, he enjoyed it again, leading Atlanta in a 111-117 win.
In a night of disapproval, Yang responded with one of his most impressive performances of the year, finishing the game with 45 points with 13/25 shots (7/15 3-points) and 8 assists and taking Atlanta by the hand. An Atlanta that needed an 11-0 run late in the fourth period to get away 105-113 and settle the game.
Bogdan Bogdanovic with 32 points followed Young in performance, with Danilo Galinari and DiAndre Hunter each adding 10 points.
For the Knicks, who played without Julius Randle, RJ Barrett had 30 points and 13 rebounds and Alec Berks had 21 points.
