If Kevin Durant scored 35 points and Kyrie Irving scored 43, you would think that would be more than enough to win, but that was not the case for the Brooklyn Nets who lost 132-120 to the Brooklyn Grizzlies. Memphis, Wednesday Night.

The Nets duo may have scored a total of 82 points, but the Grizzlies made a continuous effort from all elements of their team in the absence of their star Ja Morand.

Desmond Bane and DeAndre Melton led by 23 points each. Canada’s Dillon Brooks scored 21, while Brandon Clark scored twice with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

For his part, Tyus Jones also scored twice with 16 points and 10 assists.

Memphis had a 14-point lead at halftime thanks to a 76-point outburst in the first two ten minutes. Brooklyn, however, eliminated that deficit at 3and fourth, but the Grizzlies tightened their defenses to rise to the top with the game at 4and quarter.

Prior to the game, the Nets learned that Irving could now play at his team’s home games at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The exception that Irving received will also apply to unvaccinated Yankees and New York Mets players.

The Nets are still waiting for the debut of Ben Simmons, who has not played since he was acquired by the 76ers for James Harden last month.
