Jeff Green: “It’s the final, we need more energy”
Jeff Green broke the news after the Nuggets’ loss to the Heat in the second NBA Finals – albeit using some… French – stressing that Denver doesn’t need a pep talk to find motivation, just to energize have played since making the NBA Finals.
Jeff Green had one thing to say after the Nuggets’ loss to the Heat in Game 2 of the NBA Finals that tied the series: The Nuggets don’t need extra motivation or words of encouragement. The fact that they’re in the NBA Finals should have been enough.
This is what he said after the game, although he… peppered his argument with some… French: “It’s the ultimate wedding, man. We have to be more consistent. Our energy wasn’t where we wanted it to be. We have to get better. We don’t need a big speech to understand what we need to do and to get motivated. We weren’t ourselves today.
In conclusion, Green was even asked to answer a question similar to the one he…pulled Erik Spoelstra out of his clothes about the fact that Jokic was more of a goalscorer than a creator and whether that played a part in Denver’s image played clear:
“No, that didn’t matter. I think he did what he had to do. If he had to be aggressive, he was aggressive. He always makes the right decision. If he’s that aggressive, we have to find a way to be aggressive too. We can’t expect Jokic to do everything. We have to generate energy in defense and then transfer that energy to attack.”
