The Toronto Raptors signed a multi-year contract with guard Armoni Brooks on Saturday.
The deal came as Brooks’s second 10-day contract with the Raptors expired and a few hours before the match with the Indiana Pacers at the Scotiabank Arena.
In eight games with the Toronto team, Brooks averaged 2.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 11.1 minutes per game.
In the Raptors’ 117-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, Brooks made a big three-pointer during the fourth quarter.
He scored at least six points in each of the last three games and had three points, four rebounds and two assists in his only start to the Raptors on March 12 in Denver.
In 49 games, including nine starts with the Houston Rockets and Raptors, Brooks scored 5.7 points per game. He averaged 15.9 minutes, grabbed 1.9 rebounds and had 1.1 assists.
