The money the Denver Nuggets got for winning the NBA championship
Just under eight million is the amount that the Denver Nuggets collect for winning the championship, with the amount being divided among the members of the organization.
The first championship in Nuggets history will be remembered for years to come. Denver defeated the Miami Heat in five games, the dominant Nikola Jokic was named NBA Finals MVP, and the organization is well paid for that accomplishment.
Although the league does not award a direct bonus to the champion, there is a cash pool from playoff ticket sales, a significant percentage of which goes back to the teams. The team with the best regular-season records (Milwaukee Bucks) will receive $777,840, plus the top two teams in the east and west ($680,603 each), the next two teams ($547,039 each) dollars) and those who make it the first six.
Teams in the first round of the playoffs will receive $402,479, teams that reach the second round will receive $478,902, teams that will reach the finals of each region will receive $791,398, the team that made it into the NBA Finals loses receives $3,164,731 while winner receives $4,775,940. Thus, the Nuggets put an amount of $7,809,925 in their coffers, which they then distribute at will to the members of the organization.
This bonus will create the rings that members of the Denver team will receive on opening night of the 2023-24 season, according to Sportskeeda’s Asim Agarwal. Each ring is estimated to cost between $20,000 and $100,000 (on rare occasions).
