Bowl and Hornets beat the Nets and ruined Irving’s first game in Brooklyn

Kyrie Irving played his first game of the season in front of the Brooklyn crowd, but the Hornets were the ones who ended up smiling, winning 119-110.

With the LaMelo Bowl in a dire situation, the Hornets went through Brooklyn and beat the Nets 119-110. The New York crowd at the Barclays Center awaited the debut of Kairi Irving, who was playing his first home game after restrictions on unvaccinated athletes were lifted. A debut that didn’t come with a win, with the Nets now in ninth place in the East and battling for a play-in tournament spot.

The Hornets’ top scorer was Bowl with 33 points and 7/12 three points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists, while Bridges had 24 points and 8 rebounds. For the nets, Durand had 27 points with 3/11 three-pointers, 7 assists and 8 rebounds, Dramond had 20 points and Irving had 16 with 11 assists.
